THE DOWNEY GYM online
Since March of 2020 THE DOWNEY GYM has shifted from an in-person training center to online training classes and it's been fun!
Staying at home is for the good of our society and appears to be sticking around for a while. It is for this reason many people are taking responsibility for their own health and working out in the privacy of their own home.
With these concerns in mind, James Harrison, DPT, is working with clients to offer group fitness classes and develop individualized exercise programs through personal training.
Personal training programs will be established based on the needs and goals of the clients.
ONLIE CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY OFFERED
M, W, F at 2:30 pm via zoom.us
The cost is currently $10 per class. The more support funds we accrue, the more classes we can offer.
Payments can be made with credit card over the phone via the Square app* or Venmo app*. We would appreciate payment before class if possible.

THE HONORS SYSTEM:
We are in this together, and I mean all of us. If you can afford to financially support the class, we would very much appreciate it. That would be great!
If you can’t, well you can't. On behalf of THE DOWNEY GYM, we would still like you to participate and enjoy the class anyway. If possible, pay what you can. We firmly believe that participating in a group exercise program is a great way to control stress, improve health, and a few laughs.
ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING FITNESS AT YOUR CONVIVENCE!
The Downey Gym Online fitness class aims to provide a fun, healthy, challenging, yet doable, live instructional fitness class through a virtual community setting.
Muscular strength, balance, flexibility, stamina, agility, and endurance are some of the components which will be incorporated into the class as a whole. Exercise has been proven to increase general health, physical fitness, and mental mood, all while reducing stress. Fortunately, all of these components can be improved in each person regardless of their age or their current level of fitness. It seems like we could all benefit from that at this time.
Improving your level of fitness requires work. No one knows how your body is feeling that day but you. Self-monitoring your intensity level based on how you feel that day is the key to remaining consistent in your fitness regiment. You can't go 100% every day, but you can have fun.
